Starting again

Hi there!

Here we are again, after a long time of manifestations, activities and activism. We need to re start the semester so you can catch up and practice your English one more time.

We can't have evaluations during the fisrt week, but you can still write your ideas and thoughts using your blog.

I need you to write your reflections and ideas after this period of strikes and sit-ins.

What is different now for you?

What has changed in the school of communication?

How has the university community changed?

What is going to happen in the future?

Please, write 120 words on the topic.

Use the following words:

Stike; sit-in; manifestations; classes; professors; evlauations; work; ideas; change; feminism

I'll be expecting your entries.

  2. New Chile

We are in a new epoch, the globalization shows us a closer world, through the social networks, we are outraged by the injustices in any part of the globe. But, the world is very unfair right here! the racism and segregation is the usual. In Chile and in the world, the women have been discriminated along the history. Today the change starts through the manifestations of the girls and women. This is very good news for me. I have a daughter and I hope a better future for her, in which she feels she has all the opportunities and has no limits. A school, university and job for to her dreams, in definitive a family and country more safe and will an best place for her.

  3. The manifestations achieved a change of mentality and ideas in the imaginary collective of the university, since they have made visible the differences that exist between men and women and how these differences are now questioned thanks to the strikes of the feminist movement. The first observed changes are that professors added feminine authors in the bibliography for both classes and evaluations , in addition to the reflections that were made for everyone when they returned to classes. I personally believe that this is the beginning of an arduous work where we must row for the same side and so both men and women of the future know that we deserve to be treated in the same way and we will not lower our arms until we achieve it with assemblies or again organizing a sit-in in the university.
